Service is available in most locations on a 1.20m dish (Southern parts of Canada, Caribbean, Latin America). Larger size dishes are available for remote locations (Northern Canada, etc.). For data, voice, video conferencing, VPN and Virtual LANs, an iDirect V-Sat offers the performance of a dedicated link [1] for a fraction of the price. Our iDirect V-Sat platform can also be used to replace expensive leased lines feeding remote locations at a fraction of the monthly price. iDirect is the platform of choice for remote Internet Service Providers, private government networks, the military, oil & gas and other industries operating in remote environments. Commited Information Rate (CIR) We offer a Committed Information Rate (CIR) through a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with all our iDirect pacakges. This CIR is one of the most important aspect of the service you receive, because unlike other providers who only give you "up to" speeds, we always guarantee you a minimum level of service. Quality of Service (QoS) For increased control over your traffic, we can also implement network-based Quality of Service (QoS) prioritization. QoS can be based on protocol type, source or destination port number, source or destination IP address, to give you control over what must always go through when you most need it. Typical 768/256kbps dedicated (1:1), Ku-Band link is in the $10,000/mth range and 2Mbps/1Mbps dedicated (1:1), Ku-Band link is in the $20,000/mth range. These rates do not include one-time iDirect setup fees for service license and NOC setup. [2] Satellite telephony is available starting at $9.99/mth with telephone termination in : Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Guatemala, Haiti, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Peru, Poland, Puerto-Rico, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA. Incoming calls are free, outgoing calls are free on unlimited plan (available for $24/mth) and long distance calls start at 2¢/mn. [3] VPN links use the IPSec protocol which can not be optimized by satellite networks. Using the iDirect platform, VPN links can be configured to provide the same performance to satellite user as non-encrypted data. |
